Economic Development
The Mobile Airport Authority helps lead Mobiles local and regional aerospace and aviation economic development. The Authority works closely with regional and state economic developers, the City of Mobile, the Mobile and Baldwin County Commissions, the Alabama State Port Authority, universities and existing industry develop our regional economy. Brookleys extraordinary intermodal logistics infrastructure is ideal for aerospace, aviation, aircraft manufacturing and maintenance, manufacturing and distribution activities.
Real Estate Development
The Authority is implementing a long-term strategic plan that envisions a multi-use, 5-district campus:
- Logistics and manufacturing
- Office, research and training
- Industrial, infill, and incubator
- Light industrial and flexible
- Aerospace
The plan combines 5+ million sq. ft. of new industrial, office and retail construction, re-directed and improved roads and extensive landscaping.
Facilities Management
More than 100 companies make up the Brookley community. Our goal is to foster an environment. The Airport Authoritys maintenance department provides preventative and on-call maintenance and landscaping services:
- Interior: light construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and utility assistance
- Exterior: landscaping, lighting, painting
This department also fosters a close, supportive relationship with all members of the Brookley community through personal visits, regular communications, our web site and newsletter.
